This photo was from my “artsy” series, where I attempted to create more artistic images using filters. I was listening to Marina and The Diamonds album, “Electra Heart” while I was photographing, hence the title.
I did a series of photographs recreating the look of “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”, a German expressionist film. This one is based off Jane, the main female character.
Experimenting with light and shadow filters to create glamour.
One of the pictures I took when I went makeup less for lent.
part of the “Goth” series, were I attempted to create a “goth” look that was acceptable in public. The photographs and filters were put in to imitate the myspace photos I saw in my youth at the height of the emo/goth movement
Leopard print and red–dynamite.
And of course, if I did Jane from Dr. Caligari, I had to do Cesare, the famous somnambulist.
A series of pictures I did, modelling my favourite jewellary brain, Betsey Johnson
Another one from the artsy series, this one called “Leopard Heart”
My favourite of the “Jane” series
I quite liked how this one photographed at an angle where the sun shone directly behind me, so I just went with it.
Another of the Betsey Johnson series, this one with no filter.
The third of the “Jane” series
One of the ones that started it all–I started taking photographs with vintage makeup and clothes , and decided to add filters to make them look more vintage. People liked it, I started a site, the rest is history
Another glamour one, this time with colour
Another Betsey Johnson one–I liked the shadows in this picture so I didn’t add a filter
